morning! podcasters!

good morning!
the sun is shining, n i'm up early, it's only 7.11 am right now! wow.
anyway, crashed really early last nite too, at prob 10 or 11? most likely 10, right after a heavy dinner, no good.
man, i need to loose a couple of pounds!
now that i'm up in alhambra so much, i miss going to yoga everyday!
really miss doing yoga, wht to do? chg studios? such a pain.
gotta work in pasadena today, nice change, since the drive thru downtown into west LA is such a painful experience. a mere 20miles will take nearly 1.5hrs! wow. i really wish ther's public trains i can take here to places.
nxt move i will move to a place near a metro station.
but i can c it's going to b a beautiful day. sun is out, no rain. slightly cloudy, but it'll blow over.
neil is coming to LA ths week, sometimes.
prob to visit his g/frd?
i will try to b better at updating my blogs...

ever heard of the latest POD news? KCRW is now podCASTING! it means u can take their programs TO GO! on ur players. it's awesome, since then i don't hv to hv my computer on to listen to my favorite radio station, n i can b anywhere in the world!

talk about the world... this may-july i will b travelling thru europe w/a few frnds, then back to nyc n hang out w/my frnds, then most likely, i will go to asia, hang out some more!
can't wait.

i guess i need to put my painting thoughts on hold.

this isn't a very good foto of the final encaustics but it'll hv to do for now. maybe i can ask jimmy to take a studio foto o it when i hang it up at the SOPA gallery for the may 9th show in south pas. it's quite large but i'm liking it quite a bit now. it's growing on me. wax is a very free-flowing technique. many unexpected things come about unplanned. u hv to b flexible with it. n ths i like very much. cuz its like me n ths life in the world. last summer, b4 block island, i wnt to visit a frnd i met dancing at Eden (now closed) in TPE. montreal's name came from mont real. the "mountain" is really a "hill" but, it's quite a view from the top o tht "hill" anyway. i love ths foto he took of my flying hair, dancing at the drum circle on sundays. look at how tan i was! winter in pdx has really lightened up my clr. will hv to fix tht soon. but o it was such a fun weekend of dancing, from drum circles to outdoor rave to heart dancin...

it's been a while since i've posted any work here... well, i've not been doing too much new work. it's been very slow. maybe i've just been preoccupied, or just incubating? not sure which is which. maybe i feel as if the lines has to change for some reason? i kno it doesn't really. but what i'm seeing n experiencing, being in new town, with so many new things around me to observer, absorb, collect n regroup. it's starting to take some shape, i think. still don't kno wher ths is going just yet. i'm just glad it's moving. i was worried tht i've no longer got anything to create. tht my lines r old n farty now. maybe it is. i'm not sure, but so far, i'm liking it. ok, so now i wanna talk about 2 artists tht i'm fascinated by recently. one is Aubrey Bearsey from over 100 yrs ago. a very young artist who only made BW work n died at the young age o 25. he was illustrating literatures n myths. i've chanced by his poster in an exh...

today

i spent yesterday in Magic Mountain, riding roller coasters! all to celebrate Kazumi's 31st birthday. so fun! except the only things is the head gets knocked around quite a bit. my frnd Matthias mentioned that he can feel he's getting older cuz after a whole day of such extreme treatment to the body, he was beginning to feel a little nauseated. i guess we r all gettin a little older... but not too much wiser. well, i wish i m just turning 31 too! and they'r complaining. i'll b 35 soon myself! does this mean no more partying? michael asked me arn't i too old to b raving n such? i'm beginning to feel i m, but i love dancing so much, wht do u do then? swtch to ball room dance? no way! age is such a weird thing. my dad said tonite tht since the passing of my grandpa, he's now the oldest of the family. becuz of tht, he suddenly feels very old. tht is very heartfelt n sad thought. to c him feel old... no one wants to feel the mortality of their parents, n...
