first off, i gotta scream!!!!!!!!!!
Blahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i lost my digital camera on my flt back from san fran on american airling to john wayne!!!!!!!!!!!!! no where to be found, no one has seen it. i'm pretty sure it fell out either on the plane or in john wayne airport, but i called lost and found, n no one has it :-(
soooooooooo sad!!!!
everything i shot yesterday n today are all completely gone!
i loved this camera, so lite wt and compact n fast. i AM SAD~

anyhoo, so i went to sf to attend the internation fancy food show. to check out packaging ideas, and to pig out! it was pretty amazing. and if u're willing to stay until the very very end of the show, as exhibitors are packing up to go home, they start to give away everything! well almost everything. wayne n i came away with loads of stuff. but it was nothing compared to some of the ppl who came prepared with tote bags n roller luggages to bring home things.
these r what wayne n i each got, this is his share... since i lost my camera...

so for dinner (can u believe we manage to eat a little more?) we went to an irish looking bar that serves indian food. bar is a bit smelly, stale-like, like all bar, service was a bit bizarre. the waitress has a surprised look on her face whenver we talk to her, and tend to repeat our request at least 2 to 3 times! in the end we started imitating her...
but the food was pretty good and lots n lots of beer for cheap price, for any place.



as u can c, elain is near bursting prego girl. n the very beginning stages of labor. they're going to reno today, if no sign today. wow, hard core!

this isn't a very good foto of the final encaustics but it'll hv to do for now. maybe i can ask jimmy to take a studio foto o it when i hang it up at the SOPA gallery for the may 9th show in south pas. it's quite large but i'm liking it quite a bit now. it's growing on me. wax is a very free-flowing technique. many unexpected things come about unplanned. u hv to b flexible with it. n ths i like very much. cuz its like me n ths life in the world. last summer, b4 block island, i wnt to visit a frnd i met dancing at Eden (now closed) in TPE. montreal's name came from mont real. the "mountain" is really a "hill" but, it's quite a view from the top o tht "hill" anyway. i love ths foto he took of my flying hair, dancing at the drum circle on sundays. look at how tan i was! winter in pdx has really lightened up my clr. will hv to fix tht soon. but o it was such a fun weekend of dancing, from drum circles to outdoor rave to heart dancin...

today

i spent yesterday in Magic Mountain, riding roller coasters! all to celebrate Kazumi's 31st birthday. so fun! except the only things is the head gets knocked around quite a bit. my frnd Matthias mentioned that he can feel he's getting older cuz after a whole day of such extreme treatment to the body, he was beginning to feel a little nauseated. i guess we r all gettin a little older... but not too much wiser. well, i wish i m just turning 31 too! and they'r complaining. i'll b 35 soon myself! does this mean no more partying? michael asked me arn't i too old to b raving n such? i'm beginning to feel i m, but i love dancing so much, wht do u do then? swtch to ball room dance? no way! age is such a weird thing. my dad said tonite tht since the passing of my grandpa, he's now the oldest of the family. becuz of tht, he suddenly feels very old. tht is very heartfelt n sad thought. to c him feel old... no one wants to feel the mortality of their parents, n...

it's been a while since i've posted any work here... well, i've not been doing too much new work. it's been very slow. maybe i've just been preoccupied, or just incubating? not sure which is which. maybe i feel as if the lines has to change for some reason? i kno it doesn't really. but what i'm seeing n experiencing, being in new town, with so many new things around me to observer, absorb, collect n regroup. it's starting to take some shape, i think. still don't kno wher ths is going just yet. i'm just glad it's moving. i was worried tht i've no longer got anything to create. tht my lines r old n farty now. maybe it is. i'm not sure, but so far, i'm liking it. ok, so now i wanna talk about 2 artists tht i'm fascinated by recently. one is Aubrey Bearsey from over 100 yrs ago. a very young artist who only made BW work n died at the young age o 25. he was illustrating literatures n myths. i've chanced by his poster in an exh...
