over ther and back!


today, i woke up real early so i can head down to lyon then vienne to take care of a few tiny details of returning the sheets n blankets i borrowed during my stay to diane, and the keys and card for her to return to thierry. i wnt into the flat i was staying at, charlie is still asleep. put my things away n did my laundry.

the 99cent flip flop from hawaii is still the best ever, so i decided not to chuck it anymore.

while i washed the blanket, i read harry potter's last book... well, i'm nearly all done. can't believe now i will hv to lug ths heavy book to munich, frankfurt, bangkok then to taiwan. (actually, now i'm back in paris, i'm on last chapter)
it's a very exhausting trip to go all the way down ther n back in one day (so happy ther was a last minute tix for such a trip, else it'd b over a hundred euros) but it was only right thing to do to stop by in vienne and really said goodbye to my frnd diane n aleu, i can't leave friendship matters hanging in air like tht.

it was nice to hang out o'vienne again, small towns has its charms as always.
and i found the lyonnais cookbook i've been wanting to buy. hmmm, more books to haul home. hope my luggage won't got over wt limit this time. cuz i also bought cookbooks from the basque region.

today

i spent yesterday in Magic Mountain, riding roller coasters! all to celebrate Kazumi's 31st birthday. so fun! except the only things is the head gets knocked around quite a bit. my frnd Matthias mentioned that he can feel he's getting older cuz after a whole day of such extreme treatment to the body, he was beginning to feel a little nauseated. i guess we r all gettin a little older... but not too much wiser. well, i wish i m just turning 31 too! and they'r complaining. i'll b 35 soon myself! does this mean no more partying? michael asked me arn't i too old to b raving n such? i'm beginning to feel i m, but i love dancing so much, wht do u do then? swtch to ball room dance? no way! age is such a weird thing. my dad said tonite tht since the passing of my grandpa, he's now the oldest of the family. becuz of tht, he suddenly feels very old. tht is very heartfelt n sad thought. to c him feel old... no one wants to feel the mortality of their parents, n...

hair line or cellulose line, artists tht inspires

it's been a while since i've posted any work here... well, i've not been doing too much new work. it's been very slow. maybe i've just been preoccupied, or just incubating? not sure which is which. maybe i feel as if the lines has to change for some reason? i kno it doesn't really. but what i'm seeing n experiencing, being in new town, with so many new things around me to observer, absorb, collect n regroup. it's starting to take some shape, i think. still don't kno wher ths is going just yet. i'm just glad it's moving. i was worried tht i've no longer got anything to create. tht my lines r old n farty now. maybe it is. i'm not sure, but so far, i'm liking it. ok, so now i wanna talk about 2 artists tht i'm fascinated by recently. one is Aubrey Bearsey from over 100 yrs ago. a very young artist who only made BW work n died at the young age o 25. he was illustrating literatures n myths. i've chanced by his poster in an exh...
