helplessness



just finally got to watch AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH today on the large screen. they're showing it for free everyday at the eslite bookstore's film room.
i feel very helpless.
how do i do something about it?
only the little things i can think of.
like bringing my own chopsticks out when i eat out.
look at all the coffee cups!
the sleeves we throw away.
the plastic bags.
the paper waste.
the food. everything just adds up day by day.
this is one person.

imagine 6 billion!

daunting.
it freezes me.

i hope, the little tht i can save will somehow help.

We changed our electricity to wind power. More expensive but we're worth it!

That movie scared the hell out of us. Everyone needs to see it. And then do something.

today

i spent yesterday in Magic Mountain, riding roller coasters! all to celebrate Kazumi's 31st birthday. so fun! except the only things is the head gets knocked around quite a bit. my frnd Matthias mentioned that he can feel he's getting older cuz after a whole day of such extreme treatment to the body, he was beginning to feel a little nauseated. i guess we r all gettin a little older... but not too much wiser. well, i wish i m just turning 31 too! and they'r complaining. i'll b 35 soon myself! does this mean no more partying? michael asked me arn't i too old to b raving n such? i'm beginning to feel i m, but i love dancing so much, wht do u do then? swtch to ball room dance? no way! age is such a weird thing. my dad said tonite tht since the passing of my grandpa, he's now the oldest of the family. becuz of tht, he suddenly feels very old. tht is very heartfelt n sad thought. to c him feel old... no one wants to feel the mortality of their parents, n...

hair line or cellulose line, artists tht inspires

it's been a while since i've posted any work here... well, i've not been doing too much new work. it's been very slow. maybe i've just been preoccupied, or just incubating? not sure which is which. maybe i feel as if the lines has to change for some reason? i kno it doesn't really. but what i'm seeing n experiencing, being in new town, with so many new things around me to observer, absorb, collect n regroup. it's starting to take some shape, i think. still don't kno wher ths is going just yet. i'm just glad it's moving. i was worried tht i've no longer got anything to create. tht my lines r old n farty now. maybe it is. i'm not sure, but so far, i'm liking it. ok, so now i wanna talk about 2 artists tht i'm fascinated by recently. one is Aubrey Bearsey from over 100 yrs ago. a very young artist who only made BW work n died at the young age o 25. he was illustrating literatures n myths. i've chanced by his poster in an exh...
